There is a growing sense in the US and around the world that the system is rigged—that many of us are working harder than ever, but still cannot get ahead. Some believe that the institutions that form the bedrock of our society—government, business—are doing more harm than good when it comes to evening the playing field.
In our inaugural year, we gathered leaders from government, business, nonprofits, academia and our faith-based institutions to discuss what we can all do to ensure a more inclusive prosperity. To be sure, we won’t restore economic equality to all with one event. But we worked with partners to make actionable progress, move the needle, and embrace our role in effective governance.
